"Dr. Wysinger and the staff of Modern Family Vision in Allen are excellent. He is thorough, asks and answers lots of questions, and does not recommend new glasses unless really necessary due to prescription changes. When new glasses are needed, the staff patiently helps with frame selection and keeps costs reasonable. They are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable."

"I’ve been going to Dr. Castro for many years now for my annual eye examinations. I’m diabetic and need to monitor my vision and have a detailed examination of my eyes including photos of the retinal nerve and blood vessels to ensure that it’s not damaged in any way. Dr.Castro shows my current and previous photos side by side for comparison and shows me the images and explains the details and comparisons to gauge any changes. I’ve been very pleased with her thoroughness and professionalism throughout the examinations. They run several automated tests to check for glaucoma and measure peripheral vision. I don’t typically recommend doctors to my friends or family members unless they ask for them, and if they did I would highly recommend Dr.Castro and her firm to them! The staff at Modern Family Vision is the greatest!"

"I’ve been coming here for 5+ years to see Dr. Wysinger for my vision needs: glasses and contacts. He has the best bedside manner—and now I bring my kids here too! He is great with our whole family. He is patient with my kids (and who am I kidding… me too) as he goes through the eye chart to make sure you’re in the best corrective lenses to support your needs. The whole staff here is also incredibly kind a helpful—from the front desk to the team helping with glasses selection and fittings. I also get my glasses in days which is so nice to not have to wait very long for a new pair when needed. I highly recommend this whole practice for your family’s vision needs—they’ll treat you like family and that’s important to me."

"My family has been coming here since 2011 and we don't trust any other eye specialist with our eyes. The staff is amazing and Nanette has a way of picking a pair of frames just by looking at you. Dr. Castro is honest and compassionate and the price is always right. Dr. Wysinger was very patient with my Mom that has dementia. CJ is always happy and professional when you come in and the young lady in the back, forgive the name forgetfulness, is always pleasant to talk to.We have tried other places before coming to Modern Family Vision and the difference is always in the lenses. Their labs quality is superb and although you may pay a little more, you get what you pay for. I learned that the hard way. Make this your one stop shop for your family. You will not be disappointed. Oh by the way, we live in Forney TX and yes we drive to Allen. Is it worth it, ABSOLUTELY!!!!"

"On 3/15, I had a traumatic eye injury and Dr. Leazure and entire staff were amazing and went above and beyond. Dr. Leazure made phone calls to hospitals and spoke to the resident in charge to ensure all the proper equipment and an Ophthalmologist was on call prior to my arrival. If she had not done that, we may have gone to a hospital that would not have been able to provide the care I needed. Her staff printed my eye records so I had it on hand to provide to the hospital and were very accommodating to send me on my way to the hospital. Words can not express my gratitude and without their amazing compassion, empathy and service I am not sure my recovery would have been as quick. "Wow. I cannot say how wonderful this place is! Took my kiddos here to have their eyes checked and new glasses. The doctor gave me thorough assessment and reassured my concerns.The turn around time is ridiculously fast for glasses. And they were super accommodating. One kiddo wants new frames and the other wanted to keep her current frames. Even the hubs had new lenses made for a really old pair (dare I say vintage) of frames. And they were able to do that. The variety of frames they have here is vast. There is something for everyone. We'll be back for some contacts and be recommending this place to all our four eye friends."

The staff is sweet and helpful, especially with picking out frames when you're stuck with a decision. It does get pretty expensive not only depending on the brand, it's hard to find a pair under about $150. Still the best eyeglass place I've been to in the entire area"
